What to Expect:

Appointments:
On the patient's first visit Dr Augustat will evaluate their problem and determine the necessary treatment and/or surgery required. Please call our office in advance so that we can best accommodate your schedule.

Office Hours:
Monday and Wednesday - 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday - 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Friday - 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon

Surgery:
The majority of surgical procedures are performed on an outpatient basis at Plaza Day Surgery which is located in the same building as our office. Some procedures can be performed in our office. Dr. Augustat also has privileges at Plaza Medical Center.
If surgery is necessary, a pre-operative visit will be scheduled prior to surgery. Following surgery patients are seen as necessary to monitor their progress and care.

Referring Physician Policy:
Many of our patients are referred to Texas Eyelid Center, P.A. by other physicians. If your physician has ordered x-rays, CT scans or other tests, please bring the written report and the films with you. When your treatment is complete you will return to your referring specialist for your continued care. The Texas Eyelid Center, P.A. makes a special effort to keep all referring physicians informed of their patients' progress.

Insurance:
Dr. Augustat is on most health plans in this area including Medicare. Please ask if he is a provider for your particular insurance plan when you call for an appointment. Many insurance companies require a referral from your primary care physician before you can be seen by a specialist. It is your responsibility to obtain any referrals you may need. We will file your insurance claim if you bring your current insurance card. If you have more than one insurance plan, please bring all insurance cards.

Fees and Payment:
In a continuing effort to keep health costs down, payment in full will be expected at the time of your visit if you have no insurance. If you have insurance any applicable co-payments or deductibles will be due at the time of your visit.
